Enhance your hot tub's performance with the TCG-RD50 Replacement Filter. For optimal filtration, clean the filter every 1-2 months and replace it every 4-6 months. This regular maintenance ensures cleaner water and extends the lifespan of your equipment, providing you with continuous relaxation.

When it's time to replace your filter, you can reorder by using the part number from your previous filter or by measuring its length and the diameters of the top and bottom. Regular cleaning of the filter is crucial as it traps unwanted particles, debris, oils, and soaps, which can clog the cartridge. A clogged filter can increase pressure on your pump and motor, potentially reducing their lifespan. To assist with keeping your filter clean, The Cover Guy Scum Ball absorbs lotions, body oils, and sunscreen, preventing them from clogging the filter. Replaces Filbur FC-2390.

All products from The Cover Guy are crafted with a commitment to quality, safety, and value, using high-quality raw materials and the latest manufacturing technologies. What is the warranty on the Rolling Swim Spa cover?

At The Cover Guy, your satisfaction is our priority. We take pride in the quality of our materials and craftsmanship, so you can trust that your new cover is built to last and free from defects.

Warranty Coverage:
The Cover Guy warrants that Rolling Swim Spa covers are free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for one year (12 months) from the date of delivery.

Warranty Limitations & Exclusions:
This warranty does not cover damage resulting from the following:
• Chafing or wear caused by dragging the cover over rough or sharp surfaces.
• Torn handles — handles are intended only for opening the cover, not for lifting or removing it.
• Torn safety straps — safety straps are designed solely to secure the cover, not for opening or removing it.
• Waterlogging — buildup of water between support rods. It’s essential to remove debris and standing water to prevent damage.

Rolling Swim Spa Cover vs. Traditional Covers: Durability & Heat Retention

Rolling Swim Spa Cover:
• Heat retention varies by quality and design.
• High-end rolling covers use layered reflective insulation (like radiant barriers or closed-cell foam) that can perform well, sometimes approaching the R-value of traditional covers.
• However, because they’re flexible and may not form as tight a seal around the edges, some heat loss can occur, especially in windy or cold environments.

Traditional Hard Covers (Foam-Core Covers):
• Generally better at heat retention.
• Made with thick, high-density foam cores that provide strong insulation.
• Typically have a tighter seal around the spa, minimizing heat loss through air gaps.
• Ideal for cold climates where maintaining water temperature is critical.

Bottom Line:
• If maximum heat retention is your priority—especially in cold climates—traditional hard covers are generally more effective.
• If convenience, ease of use, and modern design are priorities, and you're in a moderate climate, high-quality rolling covers can offer comparable performance with proper fit and care.

Can I roll up my cover in either direction?

Rolling Swim Spa covers are designed to roll in one specific direction to ensure even tension and proper fit. Rolling in the wrong direction could damage the internal structure or compromise the seal.

How do I install my Rolling Swim Spa cover?

Unwrap Carefully
Use scissors to gently cut and remove the protective wrapping. Be careful not to puncture or damage the cover.

Position the Cover
Place the rolled-up cover at one end of your Swim Spa. Then, unroll it across the top surface until it is fully extended. Once unrolled, pull the cover taught with two people standing at either side of the spa.

Attach the Fastening Clips
Once the cover is in place, pull the safety straps down so they are taught. Unbuckle the clips. Screw the female clips into the swim spa housing where they naturally line up. Once secured, insert the male clips into the female ones for a snug, secure fit.

Is the Rolling Swim Spa cover waterproof?

Yes, our Rolling Swim Spa covers are made with waterproof and UV-resistant outer layers, ensuring protection from rain, snow, and spa water. The seams and materials are designed to repel water and prevent internal moisture buildup, helping to reduce mildew and heat loss.

What can I do to prolong the life of my Rolling Swim Spa cover?

Proper care will help extend the life of your Rolling Swim Spa cover. Just follow these simple steps:

Avoid Chemical Exposure
Remove the cover before adding any chemicals to the spa. Allow the water to breathe for at least 30 minutes before replacing the cover.

Maintain Balanced Water Chemistry
Imbalanced water can cause damage. Watch for texture changes or extreme discoloration—these may indicate chemical burns.

Keep It Clean and Debris-Free

Regularly clear off leaves, snow, or standing water as soon as you notice them.

Monthly Cleaning
Clean the outer fabric once a month using a mild detergent mixed with water. Avoid harsh chemicals.

Apply a Waterproofing Agent
Every 6 months, apply a waterproofing spray to help protect the fabric from water penetration.

Handle with Care
Never drag the cover. Roll it onto itself, lift it off gently, and place it in a clean, safe area.

Avoid Rough Handling
Don’t jerk or yank the cover—this can damage the seams or tear the fabric.

Unfasten Safety Straps First
Always release the safety straps before rolling the cover to prevent unnecessary stress on the cover and straps.

What’s the difference between a Rolling Swim Spa cover and regular swim spa cover?

Rolling Swim Spa Cover: Lightweight, easy to operate, and often made with multi-layer insulation and waterproof outer materials. They’re convenient and modern but may not offer the same structural rigidity as traditional hard covers.

Traditional Covers:
Usually consist of foam cores with vinyl outer shells and may be more rigid or bulkier. They often require lifters and more effort to remove and replace.

How do I remove a Rolling Swim Spa cover?

Rolling Swim Spa covers are designed for easy, one-person operation. Simply unlatch the securing straps, then begin rolling from one end of the spa. Depending on the model, the cover either rolls onto itself or a roller bar. Most covers can be fully removed in under a minute without requiring lifting or dragging.

Are Rolling Swim Spa covers compatible with lifters?

No, Rolling Swim Spa covers do not require traditional lifters. Their lightweight, segmented design eliminates the need for bulky lifter systems. Instead, some models can be paired with a manual roller accessory for easier handling and storage.

Can they withstand harsh climates like heavy snow fall?

Rolling Swim Spa covers are typically engineered to handle a range of weather conditions, including rain, UV exposure, and light snow. However, in regions with heavy snowfall, it's essential to clear snow accumulation regularly to prevent damage or sagging. For extreme climates, check the product specs to ensure the cover is rated for heavy snow loads.

How long can I expect my Rolling Swim Spa cover to last?

With proper care and maintenance, a quality Rolling Swim Spa cover can last up to 5 years. Longevity depends on environmental exposure, frequency of use, and how well the cover is cleaned and stored. Covers exposed to extreme conditions or heavy debris may have a shorter lifespan.
